Microsoft today relaunched its charity-funding engine Search and Give today. First launched late last year, the initiative has raised more than $300,000 for schools and non-profit organizations such as Doctors Without Borders and ASPCA.
Visitors to the site donate 1 cent per search to one of 100,000 schools or 900,000 non-profits. Microsoft is also allowing letting Live Search Club users convert tickets earned while playing games into donations for the aforementioned groups. Users are allowed to perform up to 500 searches a month with the program.
The new version of the site is powered by Microsoft's Live Search and features a new simplified design and more flexible donation options. A new Tell a Friend feature let's users spread the word about the initiative.
